Lunchboxes

Wow!  I love these fantastic metal, plastic and vinyl lunch kits.  Lunchboxes, Thermos, Thermoses, Lunch Kits, Brunch Bags.  They were very popular in the 50's, 60's, 70's and into the 1980.  Their popularity waned in the late 80's and into the 1990's.  I assume that most kids were eating hot meals (lunch programs) in the schools cafeteria by that time and lunchboxes just faded away.  This is not so with the collectors.  I am one of them, who has searched high and low for my favorite boxes, the ones I had as a kid.  I have most of them with the exception of the vinyl Cecil and Beanie.  If you are not familiar with types or prices, but you are interested in collecting, I recommend L-W Books Pictorial Price Guides to Metal, Vinyl and Plastic Lunchboxes by Larry Aikins.  Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, Larry.  I have found them to be a valuable resource in identification of lunchboxes and thermoses. Plastic Scooby Doo Dome lunchbox.  Made in 2000, this box has bumps, bruises and the windshield decal is peeling a bit.  There is NO thermos. 

Nintendo Super Mario Bros. Thermos 1988.  Thee are quite a few light surface scratches from being used, but nothing too deep.  There are about three small dark spots on the surface too, but no cracks or breakage.  The cup and inside stopper are there and original.  Fantastic Super Mario Bros. or Nintendo collectible

1960 Aladdin Paladin Have Gun Will Travel Thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises and a few light surface scratches, the worst scratch is pictured here.  There is a little rust and corrosion as you can hear a light sandy sound when shaken. 

1970 Aladdin Tartan Brunch Bag and Thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, slight scratches and a tiny split.  There is the residue and subsequent removal efforts of a label in the top. 

1983 MGM/UA Entertainment Fame Thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, and some light scratches.  The overall it is in good shape.  The reference book that I have does not have a photo, so I don't know if this thermos came with a brown cup or not. 

1985 King Seeley Muppet Babies Lunchbox and Thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion. 

The Beatles, Aladdin 1965.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion.  The worst is in one spot on the the double guitar side.  Inside there are some small rust spots and minor discoloration.  The blue interlined words are links to more views of the box, there are front, back, all four sides and several of the interior.  Just click the words to see the box from all sides.  No thermos!  With the 10% discount the final price would be $265.50.  eMail before using PayPal on items over $50.00 or use credit card, check or money order.

1988 American Thermos California Raisins lunchbox and thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, lots of scratches, especially on the back.  Decal is in good shape, except for some sticker goo and small bubbles.  

1950's Silver with Red Band vintage lunchbox.  No thermos, there are minor bumps, bruises, lots scratches especially on the back. 

Flintstones a Day at the Zoo thermos, a Denny's Restaurant Promo, 1989.  There are minor bumps, bruises, and some light scratches.  The decal is in good shape so is the rest of the thermos. No cracks in the plastic.  Great Denny's or Flintstones Collectible

1976 King Seeley Muppets Fozzie Bear lunchbox and thermos.  This one still has the original instructions and thermos label.  There are minor bumps, bruises, and some light scratches. 

1950's Silver with Blue Band vintage lunchbox.  No thermos, there are minor bumps, bruises, lots scratches especially on the back.  There is quite a bit of corrosion all over as well.

1984 King Seeley Pink Panther and Sons lunchbox and thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion. 

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 1994.  There are minor bumps, bruises, and some light scratches.  The overall it is in good shape, with the standard stopper not the pour spout. 

1958 Aladdin Debutante Lunchbox without the thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is lots of rust and corrosion on the inside.  The outside has label residue.  

1988 Aladdin G.I. Joe thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, and some light scratches.  The overall it is in good shape. 

1969 King Seeley Play Ball thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises and a few light surface scratches.  There may be little rust and corrosion on the inside, but can't  hear any light sandy sound when shaken.    

1960 Aladdin Junior Miss lunchbox and thermos.   There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion.  The thermos has NO lid and stopper.

1976 Mickey Mouse Club Yellow, lunchbox and thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion. 

1962 Aladdin Stallions brunch bag thermos, no cup.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, slight scratches and a little corrosion inside the thermos, there is a light sandy sound when shaken.  The stopper has a small split. 

1961 King Seeley Pets n Pals thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises and a few light surface scratches.  There is a little rust and corrosion on the inside, I can hear any light sandy sound when shaken.     

Aladdin Gargoyles thermos BVTV is the only marking on the plastic thermos, besides the Aladdin stuff on the bottom.  There are some bumps, bruises and a some light surface scratches.  Great thermos in C-6½ condition.

1960 Aladdin Plaid thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises and a few light surface scratches.  There may be little rust and corrosion on the inside, but can't  hear any light sandy sound when shaken. Cap but no stopper.    

Strawberries Brunch Bag Thermos, '70's.  There are some bumps, bruises and has some light surface scratches.  The glass liner is intact, but there is a small dent in the plastic stopper on the side pictured here.  It stands 10 ¼" tall with the cap.  Great Thermos to make your Strawberries brunch bag complete. 

1985 King Seeley Cabbage Patch Kids lunchbox and thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion.  Thermos is plastic with light scratches. 

1974 Aladdin Yogi Bear Black Board lunchbox and thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises, bends, scratches.  There is quite a bit of rust and corrosion on the inside and out.  Thermos is plastic with light scratches and is faded. 

1976 Mickey Mouse Club thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises and a few light surface scratches.  There is a little rust and corrosion on the inside, I can hear any light sandy sound when shaken.       

1981 Aladdin Fall Guy Lee Majors lunchbox, no thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, slight scratches and a little corrosion to the box.  Inside there are a some small spots of missing paint click the linked words for more views.

1976 Aladdin Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary lunchbox.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, slight scratches and a little corrosion to the box.   

American Thermos Plaid Soup Thermos.  Soup Thermos's have an extra wide mouth, like this one.  There are some minor scratches in the paint and the cup.  Only a light bit of corrosion on the bare metal and is silent when you shake it.  This one's in great shape and would make a pleasing addition to anyone's collection.

1955 Aladdin Plaid lunchbox.  I am not sure this thermos belongs with this box.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion. 

1964 King Seeley Plaid McPherson  lunchbox and thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, slight scratches and a little corrosion to the box.  

1982 Aladdin Wonderful World on Ice lunchbox, no thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion.  

Vintage Montgomery Wards thermos cork stopper, by the American Thermos Bottle Co.  There are minor dents, bruises, bends, slight scratches and a little corrosion.  The paint is worn, dull and has a small spot of hardened glue, but the glass bottle inside is intact.  The plastic cup is scuffed but not broken.

1977 King Seeley Muppets Pigs in Space lunchbox no thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, bends, slight scratches and a little bit of corrosion to the box.   Just a beautiful piece. 

1957 Red w/ Tan Band lunchbox.  There is a thermos but I don't believe it belongs with this box.  There are minor bumps, bruises, spots, light scratches.  There is some rust and corrosion.  

1986 Aladdin Fluppy Dogs lunchbox and thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, and some scratches.  The decal is in pretty good shape.    

1965 King Seeley Battle Kit thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises and a few light surface scratches.  There is a little rust and corrosion on the inside, I can hear any light sandy sound when shaken.      

1986 Aladdin Popples lunchbox and thermos.  There are minor bumps, bruises, slight bends, slight scratches and a little corrosion to the box. 

1962 Aladdin Flintstones with Dino thermos.  There are some bumps, bruises, some light surface scratches and minor dents in the upper rim, not the can itself.  There is a little rust and corrosion on the inside, I can hear any light sandy sound when shaken.  This is NOT the correct cup, it takes the type with the flat blade kind of handle.   

Beany and Cecil early 1960's Vinyl bag, which had to be stored properly or the vinyl would be shot. There are only minor bumps, bruises and a few light scuff spots, there is some sticker residue on the in Cecil.  The only split in the vinyl that I see is where the handle attaches on the right side. The zipper is in good condition and works fine. 

Disney's The Lion King.  There is no major damage to this plastic thermos, just some light surface scratches from use.  The interior is plastic and it has the original stopper.  The cup is original and matches the bottom.

Disney's Mickey at the City Zoo.  Aladdin 1985 Plastic Thermos.  There is no major damage to this plastic thermos, just some moderately light surface scratches from use.  The interior is plastic and it has the original stopper.  The cup is original and matches the bottom. 

Disney's Darkwing Duck 1993 Aladdin.  There is no major damage to this plastic thermos, just quite a few surface scratches to the body, cup and bottom from use.  The interior is plastic and it has the original stopper.  The cup is original and matches the bottom.  C-6 Condition.

Canadian Train, Ohio Art 1970 no thermos.  There are minor bumps, scuffing on the edges, slight bends, light scratches and a little bit of corrosion mainly on the latch and bare metal pieces that attach the handle.  Inside is in very good condition with only light signs of usage.  It is missing the wire holder for the thermos.  Just a beautiful piece.  

1969 KST Family Affair Lunchbox with Thermos.  There are minor bumps, scuffing on the edges, light bends, light scratches and a little bit of corrosion mainly on the latch and bare metal pieces that attach the handle.  Inside is in very good condition with only light signs of usage.
